Neuro-Affirming, Somatic Trauma Therapy: Finding Your Way Back to a Body That Feels Like Home

Online: British Columbia & most of Canada

Some things feel too heavy to keep carrying alone. Let’s make space for ease — in your time, in your way.

About

You’ve tried talking it through, but something still feels stuck deep inside. If that resonates, you’ve come to the right place.

I'm Linda (She/Her), an EMDR Therapist, IFS Level 1 trained therapist, and Brainspotting Practitioner, specializing in trauma-focused care. I provide online counselling and am an approved ICBC and CVAP provider.

I offer experiential therapies like Internal Family Systems, Brainspotting and EMDR to help you move beyond insight into real, embodied healing from distressing experiences, depression, burnout and more. I’m here to honour your story, support your growth and make space for all of you, so you don’t have to do it alone.

Intersections & Values

If you’ve ever felt shaped or limited by systems that don’t fully see you, that matters here. As a cisgender, neurodivergent, and chronically ill woman born to immigrant parents from Hong Kong, I understand how these experiences can layer and impact how you move through the world. I bring an intersectional approach that considers how larger social, systemic and cultural forces shape how you see yourself and experience your life.

Why This Work Matters to Me

Having sat in the client chair, as well as having navigated challenges in our healthcare system, I understand the profound difference compassionate, skilled support can make and I’m passionate about offering that same care to others. It’s an honour to do this work, and I’m so grateful to walk alongside the people who invite me into their lives.

Outside the Therapy Room

Outside of work, you can find me up in the mountains climbing or exploring the backcountry, doting on my ever-growing jungle of houseplants, or hanging out with animals (the soft ones, and yes, occasionally the prickly ones too).

Who I Work Best With

I work best with people who are self-aware and value curiosity, active engagement, and open communication about their goals and the therapy process itself.

Therapy with me is a collaborative and relational process. Meaningful change depends on reflection, a willingness to engage with what arises in session, and ongoing dialogue about what is and isn’t working, especially when things feel unclear or stuck.

While symptom relief is important, change often involves engaging with difficult emotions, vulnerability, and broader patterns rather than focusing exclusively on immediate solutions.

My approach may not be the best fit for those wishing to focus exclusively on a single issue without exploring its wider context, or those hoping for change without engaging in the relational and reflective aspects of therapy.
